Post by: Steve Hendrix on November 08, 2012, 07:53:12 pm
Today the first Leaf Credo AFi kits arrived in the USA @ CI. We're very excited to be able to continue offering a variety of camera platform options for medium format digital shooters, as well as access to the latest digital back technology for existing or interested AFi/Hy6 camera users.

Thanks,

I haven't heard anything about it not being offered any longer, and it is still listed in the current price catalogue. I'll double check to make sure we don't have a false positive.

AFi adapters are still available for Cambo Wide and Arca Swiss R Series technical cameras, of that I am certain.

TMARK,
I think they are still available as I purchased one only a few months back, just not common.  But a great thing to have - although I admit, I mostly shoot with the AFi fitted to Rollei and not RZ.     It takes only a few minutes to go back and forth between the AFi and the RZ but there are a bunch of little screws you don't want to loose so you have to be fastidious.    When fitted to the RZ via the adapter plate, the back does not pick up other EXIF data, however you can still enter the lens information into the AFi back along with comments and that will be recorded.

Thanks Steve and Eric.

I sold my Aptus 75s in H mount, along with the H-RZ plate.  Made me a bit sad.  I kept the RZ gear because A. I love it and B. its not worth much.

I'm not sure where I will be headed in terms of MF digital.  I had no complaints in terms of IQ with the Aptus, its just that the electronics surrounding the chip started to feel long in the tooth (screen etc), and the fact that the D800e is pretty close.  If I get another MFD system, it really better be MUCH better than the D800.  I think the full 645 frame chips from Hasselblad, Phase and Leaf do the trick.  I'm not in the position to drop serious cash on a new system now, maybe second quarter '13.
