I have just been asked a good question via PM which may be relevant to others looking:

Q: Can the gyro kit be spilt up and used as two separate units?

This is what came out:

You are using gyros because there is movement you cannot limit by using a tripod e.g. in a chopper or on a boat...
Each individual gyro will only stabilize a single axis
Unless movement is only happening on a single axis (i.e almost never) you will receive limited benefit from a single gyro

On our shoot, we also carried thick bungee cord and tied a cradle to rest the DSLR and gyro kit in. This worked beautifully!

Can confirm, single axis gyro while still beneficial, does miss out on 50% of potential stabilisation.  Especially so in a chopper where true 3 dimensionality plays havoc with cameras & lenses.
