I have a New Canon Battery thats seemingly "charging" oddly
the Single blinks...went to double blinks alright...then to a constant blink rather than the 1-2-3 sequence.
I removed if rom the charger to see if there had been any charge occuring,,,,and the camera did not respond to it,
Its back on the charger and back to the single blink sequence
hopefully it will cycle to full charge before anyone who might have some experience with this "issue" reas this
Might I have a dud battery?

You should try to charge another battery with the same charger. If that goes well, the failed one is most likely a dud, otherwise, it is the charger.

Battery number three is charging well, as expected. I do indeed have one dud battery!
Thanks
