Title: Z3100 printing problem
Post by: petermarrek on October 29, 2012, 04:50:01 pm
Made a few canvas prints yesetrday using CS4, all printed OK, then changed the size of one print. Went to page-set-up and made the changes, pushed Print and a dialog come up, it said cannot print, must add a printer first. I had just made 5 prints, what is happening? Peter

The really strange thing is that it really happens only with one image. Peter

It's been happening to me for quite some time, it's a driver issue as far as I know.  The last update it started happening for me.  Anytime I have to cancel out or start the print process and don't complete - I have to restart PS and reopen the file.  Luckily 99% of my printing is one file at a time so not a big deal.  I caulk it up to the horrible HP support.

Tracked the problem to a defective USB cable, replaced it and the problem went away. HP support was great, spent 2 hourswith me to help. Wish that there was a simple way to test cables. Peter
