Which of these two pictures is better in terms of composition. Comments welcome.
Both were taken few seconds apart on a very rainy day. One with a wide angle and the other with medium telephoto.
Thanks.

In both cases, I feel that the house could use a bit more space in the framing (its very nearly on the edge). This makes it feel cramped. I like how the first has more grass in, which gives it space to let your eye flow into the scene.
One thing I like about the second is that you brought out the red color of the tree to the left of the house a bit more when you processed it, which makes it "pop" more.

Thanks for your comments, i had to crop the left part out because of a car parked on that side.

i would prefer the second one although IMO it does need more space on the RHS. I generally photograph fairly loosely as i can always trim the image during PP but I cannot replace data cropped in the camera.
I find the little branch in the first a bit distracting
With a little more place this would be a lovely image, well spotted by you

I'd like to see the trees anchored in the ground in the second one. I like the saturation in the red tree in the second shot and the house's closeness to the edge of the frame doesn't bother me, but the trees do.
Just curious, did you get a release from the owners of the house?

Here is a third one with more space to the right.
Thanks for your comments.

That 3rd one is much better. It's amazing how just a tiny more space helps air things out.
