Title: Canon announces 5D Mark III Clean HDMI Output Firmware Update!
Post by: JS1 on October 23, 2012, 05:37:33 pm
Canon has just made a huge announcement about new firmware for the 5D Mark III that will give it a clean 4:2:2 HDMI output!
There's full details here: http://paul-d.tv/blog/2012/10/23/canon-eos-5d-mark-iii-clean-hdmi-out-firmware-announced/ (http://paul-d.tv/blog/2012/10/23/canon-eos-5d-mark-iii-clean-hdmi-out-firmware-announced/)
For me this is the clincher & makes the 5D the better option than the D800, but I'm curious to know what everyone else thinks?

....& makes the 5D the better option than the D800,
Unless you need to shoot 50i for broadcast.
