Not only do you present a sharp and colourful image of the Oystercatcher but you show us much about your subject's way of life.

Lloyd has hit the nail on the head.

Great use of fill flash but the bird looks a mite surprised!

No flash, Tony: look at the EXIF.

How can it not look surprised, what with that target-like red eye ring?
