Title: Seascape?
Post by: amolitor on October 07, 2012, 09:29:44 am
I don't actually know what to call this sort of thing. Anyways. It's not the sort of thing I'm usually trying to do, but it has enough weird elements to make me try it out. The smudges above the horizon 1/3 of the way across the frame from the left are actually flocks of birds, which I assume will be impossible to discern in the reduced size JPEG (it's hard enough full sized).

Actually it is possible on a computer monitor to see that those are birds flocking if you go to full screen. Good shooting, Andrew. I like it.

A great opportunity made al the richer for the inclusion of the bird blobs.

I suspect I prefer a pano crop to get rid of the shore-break swell in the foreground.

I remain mindful, however, that matters of cropping are your choice.
