Looking for input/thoughts on composition and processing (no nit too picky).
Cheers.

I like the composition. It has an almost pictorialist look.
I do find the dark halos to be distracting, however. It's unnatural to have the tops of trees near the skyline be jet black, while lower down the shadows are open. The premise of opening the foreground is right, just be more subtle about it. There obviously has to be a tone graduation somewhere to get the effect you want. Try to find a more natural way to blend it. Find natural borders to make transitions along, and spread the gradient out when that's not possible. Don't make the post processing visible at first glance, make the viewer wonder if you did anything at all.

P.S. Those are the Twin Sisters. The Three Sisters are in Oregon.

I really enjoy the bottom of the photo, and the clouds, while not overly interesting, do add to the photo. However, I find the large empty area in between very distracting. I'm not sure what could be done to it aside from a careful removal and lowering and blending of the clouds to give in my thoughts at least a stronger composition. That is quite a chop though.
