Title: ACR 6.6 lens profile tab missing
Post by: JohanScheepers on September 19, 2012, 07:40:43 am
I'm using CS 5.5 Extended and ACR 6.6.  It is installed on two machines (1 in my office and 1 at home) but from one licencenced copy (Adobe allows up to two installations on one licence).  The installation in my office works fine.  When I open a raw file via ACR 6.6 the lens corrections icon (together with all the other icons) appears and when I click on it I find two tabs at the top one for 'Profile' and one for 'Manual'. Choosing the 'Profile' tab opens up a menu where you can click on 'enable lens profile corrections'.  On the installation on my machine at home, there are no tabs available after clicking on the lens corrections icon.  There is only a single page which allows manual adjustment to chromatic aberation and vignetting.

Could someone shed some light on my problem?

It sounds like an older version of ACR is installed by accident on the 2nd machine (probably ACR 6.0, which didn't have lens profiles).

Eric,

I just updeated ACR to ver. 6.7.0.339 in my CS5, to be able to work with my Canon 1Dx files.

I see a change to use lens profiles, but when I open the tab for manual correction, trying to adjust chromatic abberation, I have no sliders available when I check either highlight edges or all edges.  From what I could determine on Adobe community forum, these should be present.

Am I missing something obvious?

Brian

Hi

Same here.

Today I updated my PSCS 5 to Camera Raw 6.7. When I tried to remove CA in a raw file from the Canon 5D2, I found the CA corrections gone from the Lens Corrections tab, only Defringe is left. What's going on??

Kind regards - Hening.

Oops - it's there, but not the former set of sliders, just a little tick box, and it seems to work independent of the lens profiles, and automatically - very welcome!

The file structure for Acr lens. I see they are organized by camera model in the file name. There may be some validation issues in dealing with a full sensor vs. a crop sensor in this case.
