Interesting video to watch, even if to my ears the sound was woolly and difficult to understand at times. I already have problems catching parts some tv movies, so I'm willing to accept it's probably my own failure.

However, the images spoke for themselve and underlined the fact that fame isn't always an indicator of excellence: many worthy people have lived lives of obscurity.

I particularly liked the moment where someone remarked, vis-à-vis the publicity machine and the photographer, that she walked the walk where they talked the talk. Nothing changes, as is plain to see, and always right under our noses.

Thanks for the link.

Thanks, Mike. Laura Gilpin is especially appreciated in my part of the country. She even photographed the San Francisco de Asis church at Ranches de Taos before they put a gas meter on the front of it. I've always wondered what part seeing that gas meter had in Ansel's demise and death.
