Title: Question Concerning Nikon AF vs AF-S

As I understand it, AF lenses require a camera that has a focusing motor for auto-focus. On a camera without a focusing motor you would have to focus the lens manually. AF-S lenses have a servo onboard but will only function with modern DSLR cameras that interface with the servo. Yes?

AF-I and AF-S lenses will work without needing a motor in the camera body (and perhaps AF-N as well). Yes, you would have to manually focus with an plain AF lens if your body doesn't have a motor.
