Title: Clearviewer fo RX100
Post by: stever on August 31, 2012, 07:00:57 pm
Useful, but a bit fiddly and needs a some more development
 - no diopter adjustment for eyeglass wearers so edges of screen aren't visible-at least not at once (not terrible)
 - very small pad area to pretect LCD when folded against camera - i've replaced this with a wider pad
 - nothing to keep it from twisting on bottom of camera - annoying as it tends to loosen the device.  i'll try adding a thin piece of rubber
 - lacks detent or stop for position
 - pretty much eliminates pocketability
 - will have to take it off when i give the camera to my wife, she'll break it one way or the other

works fine in strong light with left hand cupped over the top - big improvement

probably no more fiddly than a Hoodman and it is reasonably compact and ready to use attached to the camera

so far, i'm not sure it's worth the extra fiddling except in bright light, but i'll spend a bit more time playing with

I don't know how it looks like but if it takes pocketability away it ruins one of the main advantages of RX100. You can find slightly bigger cameras (GX1, G1X, etc) with better image quality, more versatile and similar price.
