Hey all,
I've had an order with Amazon.com for a D800E since May 1st, still no arrival.
Anyone else having this long of a wait time?
Thanks!

I believe I saw one on the shelf the other day at a local store. Their website is http://www.ppratlanta.com/

would start searching the local B&M stores for one,,
I had my order in to B&H the day after the 800e was announced and my local store provided me one several months ago,, canceled with B&H,,

There is one used on on getdpi for sale right now, in CA.

I realize it's used, but it's a real D800E. Also seems to have low actuation count.

They're in the channel pretty readily .. sounds like Amazon biffed it. I usually have 1 sitting on my shelf, (although I think it was sold yesterday so not one right now).

Just checked your store out of curiosity. You are listing two D800's with identical descriptions and different prices. Presumably the higher price is the D800E? Perhaps it would be an idea to change the description. Hope you don't mind me bringing that to your attention.
Sadly both are out of stock as they seem to be most everywhere.

Thanks for the heads up. surprised they're even there ... we've been holding all of them for local buyers until we can keep some decent stock before putting them online.

I walked in to a Best Buy store and bought one off the shelf over a month ago.

I ordered mine from Amazon in mid-june. I just got an estimated delivery date of October 1-2 today.
That's a bit ironic, because I was able to order one from the Nikon store yesterday morning. I plan to cancel the Amazon order once I have the one from the Nikon store in my hands, but after waiting this long I'll hate to do it, just on principle.

I cancelled my order with Amazon.
I'll probably just get one from Samy's in Santa Barbara...
Quite interesting they can pump out the D600's so fast.

And now I got a shipping confirmation from amazon. The Nikon store doesn't allow orders to be cancelled, so I guess the d800e from there will have to show up and be sent back. After waiting 3 months I'm suddenly going to have two (for a day or two, anyway)

I checked Amazon today- said they had five in stock so I ordered one. Haven't gotten the shipping confirmation yet but as a Prime member, they claim I will have it by October 3.

And just look at the saving you make over what Amazon say is list price - nearly a whole dollar!
Over here (UK), Amazon has no D800Es but you can get a D800 for only a tenner more than the US price for a D800E.

I'm still not convinced Amazon has them in stock despite what the site says. I have an order confirmation- received immediately after placing the order- but no shipping confirmation and it's been 24 hours. We'll see...

Just received a shipment notification for the D800e from Amazon. Order placed on Sep 30th so apparently the camera is in stock though who knows for how long...

Adorama has the D800E right now.
