Title: Where to stay when shooting at Point Lobos?
Post by: spotmeter on August 29, 2012, 10:00:09 pm
I'm planning a two-week shoot at Point Lobos in early November and am looking for recommendations on where to stay.

I like to cook my own meals, so am looking for a place with a kitchenette, or at least a microwave and small fridge.

I also bring my dog. She's well-behaved and often volunteers to clean my lenses at the end of the day.  Haven't taken her up on that yet.

Like a place that is quiet and does not need to be fancy, but must be clean and no mold or mildew.  Nothing wrecks a stay like allergens.

No places like that left in Carmel, I'm afraid (I grew up there).

Check the cities Seaside and Marina, just up north.

They're far more likely to have places w/kitchenettes, etc...

I don't need to stay in Carmel.

Pacific Grove, Monterrey areas are fine.
