Title: HyperDrive Error Message
Post by: Kit-V on August 24, 2012, 11:33:21 am
Has anyone experienced this issue?

When importing images to a HyperDrive Colorspace UDMA, I frequently (80% of the time) get the following error message: "DETECTED NEW PHYSICAL ERROR ON HARD DISK. PLEASE BACK UP DATA ON TIME. (R:131437, H:0)". The error number differs each time. Nevertheless, the backup is successful.

For sake of comparison, I installed another hard drive that I know was in fine working order. Same error message & yet the backup was successful.

Thank you for any help.

This smells like a controller issue.  Have you checked to see if there is a firmware update for your UDMA?
