Martine Franck died Thursday. She was 74. Franck became a full member of Magnum Photos in 1983. She was Henri Cartier-Bresson's second wife and President of the Henri Cartier-Bresson Foundation.

Sad news again.
Looking on the bright side, it does reveal (the further link to her in Magnum) that we did have some people with wonderful vision, possibly more than we might think. I look at such work and then juxtapose it in my mind with certain images of the Rhine... what a world; what value calls.
