Title: Jerusalem old town & Petra, a question
Post by: Petrus on August 07, 2012, 01:35:48 am
I will be going to those two places for the first time in late September for 12 days total. The idea is just to walk around with Fuji X-Pro1 with eyes open and meditate. Any advice is welcome: shooting restrictions (inside churches/temples,Wailing Wall?), how people react to street photography, safety issues, useful pointers about special places, times?

I photographed Jerusalem like crazy. From walking through the narrow streets to various churches and holy sights. I even got some photographs of the soldiers etc. I didn't encounter a single problem. I hand held the whole time as it wasn't a photography trip so to speak. So I can't vouch for using a tripod, but your fuji should be no problem at all.
