I just read the news about your illness. I just want to say in public how much your work on this site has meant to me over the years and offer a prayer for your recovery.

Get well quick, Michael. Luminous Landscape is by far the best photography forum on the web. You've achieved an unusual amount in your lifetime but I'd put Luminous Landscape near the top of the list.

Just back in country yesterday and catching up on this forum learned there's something amiss with your health. I've no idea what it is, so no way to properly word a response, but at the least I wish you the best possible outcome. It goes without saying the forum, articles, and your influence are all great.

I'd like to add my voice to the Chorus of good wishes and hope for a speedy recovery. I suddenly lost sight in my left eye nearly a year ago, which turned out to be due to a faulty valve in my heart, which has now been replaced ! So I have some understanding of how suddenly life (and health) can change... I have learned so much from your website alone, let alone your Lightroom videos ;D. Always informative, stimulating and inspiring. As we say in Scotland, "Lang may your Lumb reek !!".
