Two mill and here I am at less than a century. You have given me something to aspire to. ;-)

Patience, time heals almost all things and what it doesn't heal it destroys.

That's true Rob but while I am a mere fledgling in LULA time, I am somewhat less so in clock time and one is never quite sure how many ticks of the clock you have be allocated. Miles to go before I sleep.

You deserve a medal for having outlined the first challenge to fiscal survival for those of us of a retried disposition: how to calculate the perfect ratio, rate of use of resources available to survival time expected where the latter factor is the unknown? I've tried all manner of experiments with baths, taps of different diameters, pumps of different horsepowers, but nothing comes close to providing a definitive formula that works.
Even Einstein didn't manage to crack it; he avoided the question and looked elsewhere instead. Chicken!

Well if experiments have failed and the theorists can't invent a magic number, I guess we just have to resort to pragmatism and just keep plugging along. As I said before, Slobodan's hitting 2000 provides the inspiration to keep at it.

Pragmatism wins over experiment, then. Sounds cool. After all, if we did know the exact hour of our train outta here we'd go crazy. At least, I think that I might. Ignorance has allowed me to enjoy a reasonably pleasant stay here in Hotel California.
