Title: D800 and JazzFest
Post by: aragdog on May 01, 2012, 12:59:48 pm
Well a friend was in town to shoot the JazzFest.  I am just drooling at some of the photos he shot.  He had a D800 and moved around the Fest very fast, lots of enourmous crowds.  He brought his photos to dump to a drive in Raw mode.  I have a Weibetek that can do a lot of drives, do I was able to dump and put on a drive for him.  I am not permitted to upload, but he and I were amazed at the quality and just how sharp all were.  It was fast enought for him.  His buddy was using a Mark III and I also helped him.  My quick compare was that the Nikon D800 was sharper.  I have asked him to let me upload and with permission in a day or so I will send the Springsteen group that he shot.  I am just dreaming of when my D800 will arrive.  Just totally blown away here.  He also took a lot of night stuff in the Quarter and they are all great.   I think he is uploading them in a few days and will place a link to his site also.  My impression is that the Nikon focuses faster and more accurately.
