Since you brought the topic up in the Lightroom 4 tutorial on Soft Proofing, could you do an analysis and review of the improvements in print quality resulting from the use of high quality, heavy gauge, gold plated usb printer cables? 8)
such as the one here http://www.mediabridgeproducts.com/store/pc/10-FT-USB-2-0-Cable-A-Male-to-B-Male-48p145.htm (http://www.mediabridgeproducts.com/store/pc/10-FT-USB-2-0-Cable-A-Male-to-B-Male-48p145.htm) The manufacturer states that it will result in higher performance.
I could not resist..... :D
Oh, great videos and super information. Thanks again to Michael, Jeff, and Chris for the super job.

I use Ethernet connections...not USB. or WiFi...we dn't need no stinking cables!

Good answer....but there are gold plated Ethernet cables available.... ::)

Hi,
Are the cables plated or just the connectors?
Best regards

I think it is the price that is mostly gold plated.

Jeff,
I just heard about your new book re RAW but haven't got it yet. Just a specific question that I'm not alone on: The new Fuji X Pro cameras have a different sensor than the Bayer norm. I'm thinking of buying one but hesitate because I read that the RAW processing is terrible in Fuji software and not ideal in others. The jpegs, however, are unanimously lauded.
Being a RAW shooter (5D MKII) using Lightroom and Photoshop and wanting a lighter kit is the issue. Will the parties involved get it together or should I look elsewhere?
Any info much appreciated.

We'll see (and if I did know, you realize I couldn't actually say anything, right?)
