Title: Polarizer effect
Post by: armand on April 01, 2012, 02:40:17 pm
This is not really for critique but more of an example of what happens if you shoot with a polarizer into the sun. At least that's what I think happened here.

Shooting with a polarizer into the sun lacks sense.
Polarization is almost non-existing for this orientation.

May we know the manufacturer and type you have used in this shot?

Ciao, Walter

I wasn't planning to shoot into the sun  ;), it just happened that the sun was in a very nice position so I took that shoot without thinking too much about the polarizer. I noticed the above effect at home when playing in Lightroom. It's a Nikon circular polarizer II, I forgot if it's a slim version or not, probably not.
Next time I try something like this and I have the polarizer on I'll try to recall to take it off.
