I'm at a loss. I'm sure it's a simple oversight, but when I open LR4, I get a blank screen. Not totally, blank.... I get the main window but no images, no panels, no thumbnails and have to hover over the top to reveal the menu. Nothing shows up until I reveal the menu and hit the Library module, and then it's all back to normal. This is only happening on my MacPro, but not on my MacBook Pro
Any ideas?

Hi Mike!
I suggest a simple preference file dump or a LR4 reinstall. Both are fairly simple activities and do no harm.
-
How would I do a Preference File Dump? And wouldn't that 'dump' all my preferences?
-
Hi Mike!
The preferences file (on the Mac) is the com.adobe.Lightroom4.plist file, located in [user name]/Library/Preferences.
Exit from LR4, make a copy of the file or better copy it to the Desktop (just in case), then delete the file from the original location.
Re-launching LR4, the preference file will be recreated.
This preference file doesn't affect any of your LR4 settings.
If you still have the same problem, try to reinstall LR4.

Just in case you don't see the hidden folder, go to Finder, "Go" menu, "Go to folder..." and in the pop-up screen enter: ~/Library/Preferences
this will show you even the hidden folders.

Thanks.. I'll give that a try

hmm... can't find that file anywhere on my system (used Spotlight to check). I may have to try a reinstall.
-
Mike, you will not find the file and the folder as it is hidden in the latest version of Mac OS. Spotlight won't find it either.
That's why I suggested in my previous post to do the following:
Go to Finder, "Go" menu, "Go to folder..." and in the pop-up screen enter: ~/Library/Preferences
Now you will see the hidden folder's content and you should have a "com.adobe.Lightroom4.plist" file in there.

AH-HAH! I missed that. Thanks Zsolt.. that worked!
Much appreciated guys!
Now to get my OnOne plugin to work... sometimes I hate upgrades. ;)
-
Happy to hear, Mike!
Do the panels now show up when you launch the program? I hope so... :-)
-
Yup... everything is back to normal. In fact, I was wondering why my "Backup on Exit" wasn't working - thought I had to go in and reset it after the upgrade but hadn't got around to it. Now it's showing up as it should.
Happy camper now!! :)

Mike,
There is a dot release coming to fix the plugin bug. Time frame unknown.
