Okay, I am puzzled. Where was the light in this photo? The central horizon is very bright, yet the front posts and some of the top planks are white. The right side water is very dark as is the foreground. There is only one strong shadow from the pier top, but hardly any from individual posts, so it's hard to form a strong conclusion. Help. BTW Wonderful mysterious photograph!

the light coming from the left, now you make me understand that having illuminated the center of the sky not be a good idea, I have thought to be an ugly uniform gray of the sky
