I noticed that the fog in the morning formed a river, waiting for the sun to be part of a more appropriate location for the image have lucky because the rays were beginning to peep through the trees
-
Very fine!
-
This is outstanding!
-
Superb! So chiaroscuro!
-
Very fine!
Indeed. Its wonderful and the treatment is perfect. Great work.

What a glorious photograph. Not only do you have fog filtering into the trees at the bottom of the frame (an effect that is very appealing), but you also have a long line of crepuscular rays formed by light streaming between the trees. Either one of these would have been great to have in a photograph, and having two such elements makes it exceptional.
-
Wonderful image!
-
What they said, me too!
Mike.

Excellent image. Everything is there: nice landscape, good point of view, fog and trees and above all a superb light.
Bravo

I am very glad it's liked

I found my eyes went right to the center then down with rays to the clouds where I was amazed to notice the tops of the trees there and by the 'green' of the foreground trees. The dark of the background layers is very effective. I think it adds a nice perspective to the size of the mountains or hills without a lot of detail, so we are not drawn away from your theme or subject in the center. Before I clicked on the thumbnail, I thought I would be looking at a black and white. I was very pleased to see the subtle colors.
Could you share a bit how you got this wonderful shot. Time of day, where were you standing, camera settings, editing, etc.? Did other exposure settings render quite different results? I would not have know there was a river without your title.
Just look at those "crepuscular rays", definitely a "wow" photo of this unique view of our natural landscape!
-
Breathtaking!!! Please share how you got this pic.

God rays at their best.
Good stuff!

excuse my English
It was morning at 07:26:33 am, shutter speed 1/500, aperture f / 9, ISO 100 film speed, focal length 75mm lens EF 70-200mm f/4L USM.
I and a friend were walking on foot roadside, I noticed the low-lying fog, but the sun was not in a good position, I waited waiting for the sun rise up over the mountains and to my surprise came the ray of sunshine that filtered between the trees, waiting a few more minutes went rays to illuminate the fog.
I worked at editing the raw file in photoshop just by increasing the contrast and colors of blacks, then passing to the software I have corrected the shadows and lights, so I increased the contrast still it shall increase gradually to avoid losing detail, with the brush burns I darkened the river fog and lighten the brush I passed all the rays of the sun for intravederli; are about three hours

There are not enough words... just awesome...
-
Very nice shot.

All the best photographs need two elements - luck and skill.
The luck to be in the right place at the right time (and to have your camera with you).
The skill to recognise the potential of the scene and to then get the composition, exposure and perspective right.
Very well done.
-
Impressive scene well captured... the colours are a little subdued converting to monochrome might be worth a look?
-
I never tried it, the soft colors of this shot I like very much, however I can try
-
Many wonderful comments - and well deserved. It is a wonderful moment to capture and it's captured well.
I'm sorry to be the one to introduce a couple of "nigglies", but here goes... I would prefer to see slightly less of the top of the photograph and slightly more of the bottom. This would balance the space above the top right hilltop with the space below the bright for int he bottom left. I know, it's picky, but it's the way I see it anyway.
-
thank his speech.
I am not here to hear me say only good, I would like to improve the way you see and when criticism is to grow is well done.
greetings
-
Maybe since the main subject of your photo was the fog river and light rays, you could have included less of the background and that would have included more of the lighted foreground which is much more interesting (to me) than the dark of the distant hills. That result might have been what luxborealis was describing. It is great that excellent photographers like yourself are open to critiques, and this is how I learn more, too.
-
thanks, it is better to criticism than a simple word as beautiful
-
luxborealis
sorry if my English is not perfect.
my previous answer will tell you that your observation has made it clear to me that, after having made the mistake during the filming, and that your criticism is very constructive.
I visited many sites, but their words are just "incredible image" does not grow the way I see it.
With your criticism, I try to understand mistakes for not to repeat tomorrow in other images
-
Now this shot really sings! Very dramatic with strong impact. Good crafting.

... I would prefer to see slightly less of the top of the photograph and slightly more of the bottom. This would balance the space above the top right hilltop with the space below the bright for(ground) in the bottom left.
:-\
In a sense, the picture is also balanced just as it is: the fog line in the foreground, lying roughly on a third's line, is echoed by the fog in the background also lying on a third's line. The middleground trees and filtered sunlight is “trapped” between the two. This also makes for a pleasing composition.
