Title: Software for measuring color with i1Pro (Not i1 Share)
Post by: Andres Toodo on February 14, 2012, 04:21:00 pm
Hello

Can anybody suggest a software (except i1 Share) for measuring colors using i1Pro ? I'd like to find a software which allows to measure densities (specially for black), compare colors, average readings, and show spectral curve .
Maybe someone here knows some freeware ? I do have PM5 with dongle but my licence has limited features for Measure tool by only allowing to generate a testchart and MeasureTool doesn't show spectral info anyway. Though some people say that MeasureTool works even without dongle.
I have heard that Heidelberg had something in past too.

Thank You
Andres

Argyll CMS has a whole suite of tools that can do almost anything you need to do.  Learning curve is a little steep but the price is right - totally FREE (plus there is a great user community who answer all questions).  http://www.argyllcms.com/index.html

Hi,

How about SpectraShop?

Does anybody have any comments about it versus PatchTool?

Aka HCFR - free and works with i1Pro.
There is a "how to" guide at: http://www.marcelpatek.com/hcfr.html

BabelColor CT&A or Patch Tool is well documented and easy to use.
