I have always been a sucker for a door!

I love the colours here. It perks me up!

In my opinion, the first one is the weakest. There are no elements which my eyes are drawn to and so they keep wandering.
The others are really nice. Though I think one could increase the overall brightness on them.

#2 and #4 are my favorites

Me for #2 and #4, too. They are the two that stir up fantasies, both anthropomorphic and other. Those two are anything but lifeless, IMHO.

I'm with Eric, Jennifer. #2 and 4 are the winners. I'd probably chuck the others. I like #2 even better with the color cast gone -- as I've shown here. #4 is an interesting study in contrasting textures and colors. Keep it up. Good to see you shooting and posting again.

Green door, Jennifer; they even had a song for it in the um... 50s, I think. It was more about what was behind it in those days.

Very nice one.

Just for Jennifer - forgot to stick it in the postbox first time around!

To be completely honest, these don't stand up nearly as well as the street shots we've seen from you, IMO.

Listened to the tune.  Tell ya what, a lot has changed in fifty years in pop music.

Thanks Pop.  I prefer brutal honesty.  I'll post some "street" stuff soon (maybe today).  But to be honest, I've been looking at so much schlock recently that I've begun to wonder what's the point.  Mind you, there's lots of amazing stuff out there as well, which also begs the question of what's the point.

Oh well, maybe a little motivation, or delusion, will hit me again soon enough.

It's true that there is a lot of schlock out there. But there has always been and always will be no shortage of it. Don't let that discourage you. That goes double for letting the great work of others get you down. Don't worry about any of that. There's plenty of room for everyone on this bus. I and others here have been impressed by the street shots we've seen from you and it would be a shame to see you give up. Get out there and shoot!

Indeed; Chuck Berry came along!

I have always been a sucker for a door!

Me too, I have hundreds of them.

I like the short dof on #3, can't beat abstract.

The last one (Green) is wonderful.  The others all seem normal.
