To me it's a pleasant picture. i keep wanting to see what's off the right from where the point is descending to the sea though.

I like it, but I agree about the right edge.  Obviously the tree anchors the left side, and then we move across the frame, past the building and keep wandering out of the frame, wondering what's there...

Yes, I always wrestle with just what to include.
Off to the right is well, more of the Pacific Ocean.
I find scenes like these tedious and really try and capture just what it looked like to we throngs of teenagers sitting in that well known Saturday night parking spot all those years ago.
As is with all things it seems, the authorities put up a gate and limit access now.
Big signs everywhere declaring off limits habitat for whichever threatened species we're giving that 1 acre plot to.
We used to sit there and wile away Saturday nights in our cars.
The view at night isn't that much better...

I agree also, would like something a bit more to the right, also makes me want to see more of what's on the right side.

It is a good shot. The anchored boats on the right, make for an obvious resting place. But I will add that if the right most boat had it’s bow pointing toward the pier that would be a minor improvement as it would encourage the viewer to look back to the left.

The colors from the foreground to the pier could use a little more saturation.

I think the colors in the foreground are accurate, and go with the subdued look. Have you considered gently  bringing down the highlights near the right edge to create a mild vignette effect, slowing the eye from escaping. Other than the fair criticism that the sweep of the shot is from the left edge out the right, I really quite like it.

There are a lot of interesting elements here, but they aren't tight enough--I mean they aren't actually physically close enough together.  I think there is too much space wasted on a sky that has no interest.  to fix this, I would normally suggest that you crop more of that sky off, but that would leave you with an aspect ratio that is way too wide for most presentation formats.  The only thing that I might recommend, and it is considered unethical by some, is to crop more of the sky off and compress the image in the horizontal axis, possibly using content aware scale.  This would maintain the good aspect ratio and reduce the amount of space used by a blank sky. That might tighten it up.

Here is a quick reformulation of the aspect ratio.
