Title: Lightroom 3 printing with or without Adobe RGB in ABW
Post by: greyscale on January 18, 2012, 03:32:17 pm
Have been viewing the LR3 videos again, and am wondering whether setting the profile to Adobe RGB vs an Epson paper profile when using ABW, would result in a noticeable difference in the print?. Does the paper type, matte or glossy have any effect on this?

It depends if you are printing from Windows or Mac OS in terms of what you need to do.  There was considerable discussion about this two months ago.  In any case, the only profiles that will make any difference on a Windows machine are those that linearize the gray scale curve and you either need to use one of Eric Chan's profiles or make your own using Roy Harrington's QTR.  MacOS cannot use any "color management" using Epson's ABW driver.
