Here are two versions of this photo of Italian Greyhounds. I am curious to hear which version is the better of the two. I've got a little background story at http://goo.gl/lXK4q

My vote: color. And rather nice color.
-
Agreed. It separates the two animals better, making each an individual.

Colour. The b&w lacks bite ;)

:)Colour for me too.

How could there even be a question? The dogs markings are critical elements that only the color version can show.

Russ, I'm shocked. MISSING APOSTROPHE ALERT! (I'll forgive the missing "u".)

Good grief, Jeremy. Mea culpa! I've got to slow down when I do this stuff.

Great looking dogs. I agree that the color is better.

Also vote for color, although both images look good, think color suits the most

Jeremy, Forgot to add that you can find the "u" right there in Manchester. That's where we yanks left it.

For me it comes down to 'purpose' or expectation.
If the image is to offer a description of the dogs' features then the colour defines the features more accutately.
If, on the other hand, the image is a 'portrait' of the dogs then I far prefer the black & white. But then, I would, wouldn't I?
Either way, a commendable shot.

Another vote for the colour version. For reasons amply explained above.
