There is a new firmware for the Epson 7900/9900.
HN030B9 – dated 04-NOV-11 – Posted on 15-NOV-11 on Epson UK (http://www.epson.co.uk/Printers-and-All-In-Ones/Large-Format/Epson-Stylus-Pro-7900/Drivers-Support?target=driver&languageId=1&driverId=373249&defaultOSId=22&DRV_CATEGORY_CODE=FIRMWARE).
Epson says 'this version is improving: Automatic Nozzle Check feature, SpectroProofer behaviour, borderless feature on Mac OS, color stability and consistency with some 3rd party software solution and cartridges recognition.'

This version is not yet posted on the US site and if you try to do an auto update through the Remote LFP utility panel you will not get it .
I'd wait till they post it and let the updater do it automatically.... the latest is....
