Hi Chris or Michael, got your tutorial on the GH2, but more was supposed to be coming along? Any plans?
-
Our plans do not include any additional Cinematography for
Photographers in the near term. Part of the reason that we have
arranged to distribute Richard Michalak's tutorial is to fill in that
gap.
A couple of things have lead to this.
First, I fully expected to be able to continue to use an updated Final
Cut Pro - that is not the case since Final Cut X is close to useless
for me at the moment; I am hoping it will eventually be upgraded to
the point where I can use it and then do a tutorial using it for
post-production. At this point that is simply a 'hope'. In the
meantime, there is little point on doing a tutorial with dead-ended
software.
Second, sales of Cinematography for Photographers have not been as
strong as hoped and it was not very widely accepted, Obviously, this
leads to a much lower motivation to complete any potential Parts 2 &
3.
Since I am a one-man-band as far as all the Lu-La videos, I have to
prioritize my efforts. I hope you understand.
All the best

Thanks, Chris!

Also, Andrew Reid has produced a 160 page book as a downloadable PDF entitled "The GH2 Shooter's Guide", specifically for shooting better video with that camera. www.esohd.com.
