Title: ACR Lens distortion
Post by: stamper on November 05, 2011, 06:51:25 am
I have noticed recently when I set the exposure using the exposure slider to reduce the red clipping to just disappear - in an overexposed raw file - and then set the lens distortion setting to the profile suggested by Adobe then the clipping area reappears. Why should the profile affect the exposure of the raw file?

I have just realised that there is a vignetting lightening process in the lens correction that is altering not only the dark areas but also the highlights?

Hi!

Vignetting corrects light fall of at the edges and corners. It functions as an increase of exposure. So it's affects exposure.

Best regards
Erik
