Post by: arl1ngton on October 10, 2011, 01:43:42 pm
Hi Everyone,

I've been testing a 60D and as opposed to a 5d mark II or a 7D, i dont see any profiles in Lightroom other than "Embedded",

And it has the Canon EOS 600D Camera Neutral.dcp and so on files on the mac,

Why ?, please help !

Allan

Shoot raw and you will see profiles. "Embedded" is what you get with 'JPEG' or 'TIFF'.

You have, apparently, imported and opened a jpg file. Jpgs have already been processed using some profile and that profile has, in part at least, determined the characteristics of the image and thus is "embedded" in the jpg. LR will not impose a second profile on a rendered RGB image and therefore profiles are available only for RAW files.
