Title: z3100 Colour Sensor Error 58.11 - Ever Been Solved?
Post by: William Chitham on July 14, 2011, 06:00:13 am
I have encountered this error whilst running diagnostic tests following a printhead malfunction. I replaced the trailing cable and the printer seemed to be functioning ok but the 58.11 error remained. I have now replaced the carriage pca but the ESP still fails the diagnostic test, however I was able to successfully recalibrate a paper and I have a hunch that the ESP is actually ok but there is something wrong with the test. I'm going to try a firmware update but I'd love to hear from anyone who has run into this error and successfully resolved it. The ESP is an expensive part and I don't want to get suckered into replacing it needlessly.

I've never had this specific error, though I have had color sensor errors on the z3100 before, so I don't know the solution, but I figured I'd link you to this http://z3100users.wikispaces.com/Z3100+problems where someone resolved a 58.10.
That probably won't help you much, BUT, on that site there is a link (in the Z3100 Docs section I believe) to the full z3100 service manual which has lots of info, including detailed error code explanations.

Hope this helps!
