Title: z3100 print problem
Post by: petermarrek on July 06, 2011, 04:36:33 pm
A weird problem, all of a sudden my z3100 printing on HP semi-matte has a big problem. the first inch of the print is fine, the it transitions to an app. 1 stop lighter and that is how the rest of the print is. the file printed ok before a week ago. OSX10.8, printing through CS4.

Check whether the gloss enhancer head side takes grey ink in from its other half and uses that in that first inch of printing. There have been more reports like that. Either a leak in the barrier between the head parts or the grey ink is getting in at the parking station or whatever it is called. Probably the first.

Print an image without gloss enhancer and print gloss enhancer without an image (smaller image on a larger print page and GE all over).
