As always, that beautiful, dreamy quality to the image.

Dwayne,

I really like the print and the processing. Would you share a little about the processing?

Thanks!

Very nice encounter… The post-processing makes me feel like you're living in a fairy tale.
Bravo

Hi Dwayne. For some reason I can't see the image. Anyone else having that problem?

Hi Justan,

This is an old school photo effect, meeting the digital age. "Orton-Effect"

Here are the settings to get that dream like look to your photos. I use Nikon Capture NX2
for all of my work but these settings should also work in PS.

1-move the midtone slider in (levels) so the photo goes very light
2-using the (gaussian blur) tool move the radius slider so the photo goes very blurry
3-go into (blending mode) and select multiply, the photo should go darker
4-use the sliders in (levels) to set the correct exposure
5-add a tad of global USM sharpening to get over the Orton-Effect

Take care,
Dwayne Oakes

What about the step where you create a duplicate before commencing all the listed procedures? The multiplier will only work if you have more than one image.

Anyway, nice work Dwayne. The Niagara region is a goldmine for deer.

Hi John,

You could be right if using PS. No duplicate need using Nikon Capture NX2.
