Title: PSCS2 bridge?
Post by: Jonathan Wienke on May 17, 2005, 01:46:39 am
Your file association registry settings are hosed. Reinstall PS and select the "all to PS" option to reset them. And Bridge is now a separate app in a separate window, so that change is normal. On a dual-CPU machine, thumbnailing a large folder doesn't significantly slow PS like the CS browser did. Thumbnailing is also much faster.

PSCS2 bridge does not behave for me as the former PS version's file browser works. When I double click on a bridge thumbnail photo, that picture will open in the MS Paint program rather then PS. I can drag thumbnail pictures into the PS screen, but then the Bridge browser wil revert to a screen behing the PS window. I need to cause the bridge thumbnails to "default" to PS & not Paint. And I cannot find a method.

don't reinstall!!

In Bridge go to  Edit/Preferences/File Type Associations. Click on the file types, hit browse and point it to CS2.

Lot faster and doesn't bugger up your computer.
