Title: What's a good LCD monitor for photo editing?
Post by: SteveZ on April 08, 2011, 01:44:20 pm
I'm planning on upgrading my main monitor from a 24" to a 27" + monitor and just wanted to get some ideas on what you folks recommend. Naturally, I'd be looking at either PVA or S-IPS panel technology, most likely because of the high cost of S-IPS monitors I'll have to settle for a PVA panel. Since I mostly do monochrome editing, I'm wondering if panel technology is really all that important. Please give me your thoughts and opinions on this.

There is at least as much change in tone as there is in color, so yes it is still relevant ; and color accuracy might also be critical if you want to assess a split toning eg.
