Title: 4x5 polaroid film
Post by: totus on March 30, 2011, 10:53:59 am
Hello!

I'm new at the forum, but I hope I'll be an often guest here!

I often use my 190polaroid camera, but also would like to shoot polaroid in my 4x5 cambo monorail. Is it possible to use 100type films in 4x5 monorail in some special holder? Or I need to buy special packs and 545i polaroid back?

Best regards
totus

Yes you can use 107, 108 etc with 4x5.

I have a Polaroid Graflok back that takes the standard Polaroid 107 or 108 film packs. It uses the Graflok Back for mounting, remove the ground glass and attach the polaroid back in its place.

It gives just the center of the image, and not full 4x5 size, but you get an idea of exposure and comp.

You might try to find one of these, there is no manufacuters name on my back, so can't point you to a source.

The 545i is basically a film holder for the Polaroid film. The holder portion is the same size as a standard film holder and the individual film sheet is inserted into the 545i.

I have one that has not been used for over 15 years. It was used very lightly during an abortive foray into LF photography.
