Title: Very strange thumbnails in Bridge
Post by: bjanes on March 24, 2011, 10:07:42 pm
Recently I have noted a very strange display of thumbnails of NEFs, JPEGs, TIFFs and other files in Adobe Bridge 4.0.4.2. The thumbnails have a very strange yellow appearance, which briefly disappears when the cache is purged, but quickly reappears as the cache is rebuilt. Opening a NEF in ACR shows the same phenomenon in the ACR preview window, but the picture appears normal in Photoshop. I am running Win7 64 bit with a GeForce GTX 260.

This problem is shown below in a screen capture. Any ideas on the solution?

Regards,

Bill

Have you tried the different options in

Preferences/Specify thumbnail quality

to check if the problem is limited to a specific mode or generic?

Pierre,

Yes, I tried always high quality thumbnails, high quality on demand, and 100% previews. The problem persists. Flushing the cache normalized the thumbnails, but as the cache is rebuilt the problem recurs

If nothing else works, I may deactivate CS5 and reinstall, but that is a bit of a bother.

Thanks,

Bill
