Title: AdobeRGB on laptops?
Post by: dleroyj on March 07, 2011, 02:11:26 pm
Is it possible to purchase a laptop with a screen capable of showing the AdobeRGB color space? I calibrated my Lenovo LS410 and its gamut doesn't even fill the sRGB, lacking most significantly in green. I don't care about OS.

The HP Elitebook 8000 series has an optional Dreamcolor laptop display with RGB LED backlighting that will give you 100% Adobe RGB colorspace.

My VAIO VGN-AW290 does.
Based on this:

my laptop must be quite a bit wider than AdobeRGB -- at least on the red end. Sometimes this can be annoying, since applications that are not color managed have a gaudy look.
