Title: Glasgow Skyline
Post by: stamper on March 02, 2011, 05:20:35 am
A panorama of the Glasgow skyline. In the foreground is the Kelvingrove museum. I originally preferred the colour version but after some thought.....

Could we also see the color version to compare them?

Nice one - although I find myself wanting to see the top of the second tower, which is more or less on a third and so seems to draw my eye to it, rather than the tower blending fully into the cloud. Did you take a series of images and wait for the cloud to clear to the right/left? If so I would like to see that version as well to compare them.

Stamper

I think I prefer #1 above - the one with the full sky. The composition seems much more balanced, somehow, and it is a beautiful luminescent sky. Also, we can the more clearly see the sillhouettes of the buildings. Nice picture!

Yes, nice shots: I'd go for the one with more sky. I understand that a more panoramic pic can bring drama, but I think the fuller one wins in this case.

Add me to the list... "Glasgow-skyline-3.jpg" is the best one, in my humble opinion.

Me too, but because I find the colours more interesting.
