Title: LLVJ 20
Post by: Robert-Peter Westphal on February 20, 2011, 08:29:17 am
Hello,

is there any news to the ( hopefully soon) coming LLVJ 20.

If you really switch to one issue by year, will the coming one be the one for 2011 or can we look forward to a second one in 2011 ?

Best wishes

Robert

The news is really no news... LLVJ-20 is coming but still incomplete.

LLVJ-21 is also coming but I have no timeline.

News I can give: Cinematography for Photographers - Part One (C4P) will be published quite soon with C4P - Part 2 to follow within a few months.

Camera To Print 2 will be shot and published this Summer.

Hi,

Is episode two having the same cast as episode one? And please make a nice round up, cheers and farewell scene.

Best regards
Erik

Thanks!

I'll try to be first buyer!

Best regards
Erik

Ps. Nothing better than sitting in a Swedish national park a rainy afternoon with Pierre, my old friend, and a bottle of decent wine and looking at the Reichmann & Schewe show directed by Chris Sanderson!

Camera To Print 2 will be shot and published this Summer.

Two questions to this very exiting project :

1.) Will you offer a special price for the "old show" becasue of the coming new version ?
2.) Will the second show be something like an addon to the old one or will it show everything "from scratch" ?

Yes, there will be a modest discount available via coupon that will be added to the final file of the original C2P product

2.) Will the second show be something like an addon to the old one or will it show everything "from scratch" ?
As the man says, yes, it'll be from scratch.

And as a special added feature a glimpse into Jeff's shirt closet? :~)

I've heard from reliable sources that , indeed, a short video will feature a tour of Jeff's closet. Also, a new LuLa store section will offer customers the possibility to purchase signature shirts!

Hi Chris,

what does that mean in concrete ? Does that mean that I would have to buy the actual ('old') camera to print video for the normal price now and I will receive a coupon for a discount when the next version will be available ?

Best wishes

Robert

If we are asking for things in concrete... then the question should be - when will it be released?  ;D (but that is already answered above by Chris - To be Shot this summer). No pressure Chris  ;D

Edit: BTW: Put me in the camp of 'not' caring about any 'discount'. How one can ask for a discount on a product not even released yet leaves me gob smacked. I mean sheesh.. how about 'what content will be on it it?' Thats a far more pertinent and valued question!

Then again the fact i don't 'get' this 'can I have a discount' mentality is probably the reason I am not driving a Bughatti and living in a luxury chateau in the South of France.... ahhh.. before I dig a hole its coffee time me thinks.. ;D

Yes
Chris,

I'm about to do that. Is there anything special I have to do to receive the coupon ? How much will the discount be ?

Best wishes

Robert

The discount will be modest - likely in the same range as that for the Lightroom 3 Tutorial which is 10%

Chris,

any chance to use the 15% spring off for the coming LLVJ 20 ?

Hi Chris,

I don't want to annoy you, but, is there a chance of receiving the LLVJ20 during the next time to fill the'summer hole' ?

Many thanks and best wishes

Robert

The only annoyance is my inability to finish something that I have been working on (perhaps more off than on) for over a year.

I am now deep in the throes of editing the new Camera To Print tutorial and - yes, once again - the VJ 20 takes a second seat to the tutorial.

Yes, VJ 20 will be published but alas, not yet. My apologies...

With all due respect, any updates yet?

For subscribers, this delay is getting a frustrating.  Many of us subscribed when we were getting 2-3 issues of LLVJ annually, not 1/2-1/3.

If the LLVJ is de facto dead, or indefinitely delayed, how about  issuing fungible download credits applicable to current video releases?

Clearly, times change, but being forever in the lurch is a drag.

Thanks,

Gian

Any subscribers who have remaining credits have always been able to apply those credits to other videos...

Just let customer service know what you would like to buy and we will work out the credits.

Gotcha.  Thanks so much for the quick reply, Chris.  And apologies for coming off as a crank!
