Title: Good shooting locations

Rock Cut overlook (off Trail Ridge Rd.) looking to Longs Peak at sunset.  You can end up with something like this:Sunset at Rock Cut (http://ben-johnson.org/gallery2/main.php/view/colorado2002/DSCN0399_autolevel_th.jpg?g2_imageViewsIndex=1)

(This was back in my early days of photography, so I didn't know about all the tricks like blended exposures, etc - all I'd done was hit it with Auto Levels).

Alternately, if you're a morning person, hike up Twin Sisters (3.5 mi one-way) and get the east face of Longs Peak at sunrise.

Check out the Colorado Nature Photographer's forum at the following URL:

Colorado Nature Photographers Forum (http://forums.naturephotographers.net/6/ubb.x?a=frm&s=8306088241&f=25110141)

There is a tremendous wealth of knowledge here and I'm sure that if you post a quick introduction, you will receive all kinds of inside information on where to shoot, what's hot, etc.  You will probably even get a couple of offers for others to join you to show you around.  They are really that nice...

Good luck,

Bill

I plan on being in Rocky Mountain National Park between June 16th and July 4th. I would appreciate any advice on good shooting locations. Thanks.
