Title: And now for something different, the Human Landscape - India
Post by: RichardArran on January 18, 2011, 06:38:52 am
Hi everyone,

Those of you that know me on here will be familiar with my panoramic landscapes but I thought I'd share some different 35mm digital stuff of India.

Comments either positive or negative are welcome.

Cheers!

Thanks for sharing. India is a fantastic place for people portraits and candids. Many compelling subjects and many willing ones as well. Unlike many cultures, most Indians do not refuse requests to take their photos. I just came back from Mali and Morocco and soliciting willing subjects is difficult.

Thanks,

India is the place for people shots. They love having their picture taken!

Indian people are wonderful, they seem to be very honest, certainly very accommodating.  It's the only country where I became sick as a mad cow!  :)   Very similar to the people of Bali, Indonesia, naturally they are both predominantly Hindu, whereas the rest of Indonesia is Islam.  I was just in the Maldives Islands and the island we stayed on Hadahaa http://www.alilahotels.com/hadahaa had mostly Indian staff, wonderful people.
