Title: Monaco Measurement to ProfileMaker
Post by: aaronchan on December 30, 2010, 02:07:10 pm
I'm using my Z3200 with Color Center to measure a 1728 color patch
and wondering if there anyway to output the measurement or convert it into something that ProfileMaker 5 could read

Under the option, I can export it direct to something call .csv and CGATS format with serveral option i could check:

SAVE AS CGATS MEASUREMENTS FILE
-include original cmyk/rgb and sample_ID values
-include spectral measurements: use 5/10/20 nm spectral bands (interpolated)
-include CIE XYZ measurements (2nd Observer)
-include CIE Lab measurements (D50 illuminant)
-Include Status E density measurements

SAVE AS MONACO PROFILER MEASUREMENTS FILE

So which option I should pick?
or is there any way to convwert the Monaco Profiler Measurements file into something that ProfileMaker could read?

Thanks
Aaron

Save as CGATs and PMP will happily open it.

Not really. It says "Error in file format. (Error 20203)"

I've listed all the options I can check/uncheck before I make the measurement
Should I just check all of them or just some of them?

No experience with what you are calling “Color Center”. With ColorPort from X-Rite, you are given similar options and CGATs saved doc’s open in ProfileMaker Pro. You may need to download the free ColorPort form X-Rite and measure using that product. Or see in a text editor how Color Center is saving that CGATs and compare it to one ColorPort saves.

There is a way to convert a PROFILER session file to CGATs.

Try the Include Lab measurements check box.

What should be my file extension? .csv?
just want to make sure because i'm running out of paper

Thanks Andrew!
