Title: PA241: Photoshop Screen resolution?
Post by: walter.sk on December 18, 2010, 01:57:15 pm
I have been using the NEC PA241, which seems to be a wonderful monitor, with our MAC Mini.  On my PC, with the NEC 3090, I have set the Screen Resolution in Photoshop's  preferences file to 101 pixels per inch, as indicated in the 3090 manual.

I have found no recommendation in the PA241 manual, I divided its horizontal dimension (1920 pixels) by 20.4 inches and got 93.14 pixels per inch.  Should I use 93, 94 or 93.14 as the screen resolution figure, or leave it at the default 72 ppi?

Not sure I understand the question. You did the math, you got 93.14 at that output rez. So its 93ppi. I don’t understand what you mean by leave it at the default of 72 ppi.

I figured it was probably 93 or 94 ppi, but to cover all bases I asked about the 72ppi.  Thanks.
