Title: Missing Feature on Mk II
Post by: dirk.rodax on May 29, 2004, 02:41:05 pm
I'm missing a very useful storage mode on my Mk II.

We all want to use the biggest storage card available and affordable on the one side and use the backup feature of the Mk II on the other side. But that's simply not possible. Biggest SD card is just 1 GB, while affordable CF cards are at 4 GB.

It would be very useful to be able to store the RAW files on the CF and have the much smaller Jpegs on the SD. If your CF fails you still have a Jpeg, which has not all the opportunities of a RAW but will deliver acceptable quality if you lost the shot of your life time.

Perhaps Canon will implement this feature in a future software release?
